Make your first request

List tracked releases, ordered by version from newest to oldest.

REQUEST
curl 'https://api.wpcentral.io/api/v1/releases'

“Tracked” means a release has stored download observations. The newest tracked release is not an independently verified current-release flag.

Four endpoints. Plain JSON.

History and observation quality

The date range is inclusive, uses UTC, and supports up to 366 days per request. Without dates, history covers the last 30 days including today. Only interval=day is supported.

History point status values
StatusMeaning
observedAdjacent days have valid closing observations. The delta can be zero.
missingNo valid observation for this day. Counts and deltas are null.
no_baselineA counter exists, but there is no earlier valid observation. Delta is null.
gapThe previous observation is older than the preceding UTC day. Delta is null.
counter_resetThe cumulative counter decreased between adjacent observed days. Delta is null.

Responses & errors

Success responses use data and usually meta. Errors use error.code and error.message.

{
  "error": {
    "code": "release_not_found",
    "message": "No observations exist for this release."
  }
}

  • GET and HEAD are supported. There are no public write endpoints.
  • Browser CORS access is currently allowed from https://wpcentral.io https://www.wpcentral.io, and https://new.wpcentral.io.
